Chris Makin

After graduating from UMIST, Chris began his career in the plastics industry. With more than 35 years’ experience he has built, led, sold and managed multiple businesses across both extrusion and compounding, taking them from small operations to established manufacturers with long-standing customer bases. 

His background spans every level of the sector, giving him a hands-on understanding of materials, processes and production pressures, as well as the commercial insight needed to grow and sustain a business. Chris has steered operations through market shifts, expanded capacity, invested in new technologies and developed teams capable of delivering consistently high standards. 

Under his leadership, Eagley Plastics has grown into a stable, independent manufacturer with a reputation for reliability, technical competence and long-term thinking.
